Hi
I just watched a video, he replaced , with "ctrl + J"

A1 = John Smith, 123 Main Street, My City, 12345

and got this

A1=
John Smith
123 Main Street
My City
12345

What I tried to do, is to highlight
A1 =

John Smith
123 Main Street
My City
12345

and go to find and replace and this time I tried to replaced "ctrl +j" with ","
to get back the text to its original state but did not work?

Thank you very much.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I believe you were talking about using Text to Columns function in Excel. I don't think you can reverse the process

You can just this formula to get back the original I guess

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,CHAR(10),", ")
