Hello,

How do I replace a word with a variable? For instance:

Column 2: "Hello, I am trying to code this script"

Then a code which is changing "trying" to $variable

Is it possible to try to search for a specific word, then replace this word with a variable and that variable is SET by you in the VBA code?

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Something like this?
VBA Code:
Sub MyReplaceMacro()

    Dim newVar As String

' Prompt user for new variable
    newVar = InputBox("Enter the new string")

' Replace "trying" in column B with inputted value
    Columns("B:B").Replace What:="trying", Replacement:=newVar, LookAt:=xlPart, _
        SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
        ReplaceFormat:=False

End Sub
