Retaining Paste Links in a CSV file

I need to upload a file into a software system to maintain daily interest rates. The software requires that the file be in CSV format.

We maintain a daily rate sheet in another spreadsheet (Excel 2003) for distribution to staff. However it has several tabs and is not in a format that would allow upload to our software.

I have created a CSV file for upload into the software which contains paste links to the rates in the daily sheet we use for staff.

However, when I close the CSV, the paste links are removed and replaced with then last number showing when the file was last opened with active links.

Is there another method for accomplishing this task within CSV files?

Thanks

Bill

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Although Excel can read a CSV file, the format itself is just a simple text file and can't save any Excel features such as formulas or links.

You would have to:
1) save your template as an Excel file
2) when you want to upload the csv data, open the Excel file, save it as a CSV file with another name, and then upload the CSV data. This leaves the original Excel file untouched and once the data is uploaded you are ready to use it again next time you need it.
