Hi guys,

In Sheet2 column A, I have a list of product numbers. Then in Sheet1 column A, I have a larger list of product numbers (along with text filling up cells B to HD for each product number). I need a macro to get all the rows in Sheet1 that have the product numbers from Sheet2, and paste those entire rows into Sheet3. How could I go about doing this?

Thanks

Matt

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Matt,

Do the following:

Important: make a copy of the workbook first.

1. (For Excel 2007) Make Active Sheet3. After that, make active the Data tab and select Advanced in the Sort & Filter group.

1. (For Excel 2003) Make Active Sheet3. After that, open the Data menu, point to Filter, and choose Advanced Filter.

2. In the Advanced Filter dialog box, choose the option Copy to another location and make the following changes in the text box of the dialog box:

List Range: select the data from Sheet1.

Criteria Range: select the data of the first column of the Sheet2.

Copy to: Select the cell A1 on Sheet3.

3. Finally, click OK.
