Hi
I have a spreadsheet used to calculate a selling price for products that are in and out of season. In the cell that contains the cost price if the item is not available the buyers type n/a. I previously have used the following formula to ignore "0" or blanks
=(IF(S12+T12>0,T12*F12,"")) but how do I go about returning a blank cell if n/a is entered in the cost cell rather than a "0" or blank?

Any help appreciated.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Try
=IF(ISERROR(MATCH("n/a",$S12:$T12,0)),$T12*$F12,0)

Does the formula help?

Try this:

<b>Excel 2007</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><colgroup><col width="25px" style="background-color: #E0E0F0" /><col /><col /><col /></colgroup><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th></th><th>S</th><th>T</th><th>U</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">1</td><td style="text-align: center;background-color: #FFFF00;;">Qtd</td><td style="text-align: center;background-color: #FFFF00;;">Price</td><td style="background-color: #FFFF00;;">Result</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">2</td><td style="text-align: right;;">1</td><td style="text-align: right;;">713</td><td style="text-align: right;;">713</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">3</td><td style="text-align: right;;">7</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">4</td><td style="text-align: right;;">0</td><td style="text-align: right;;">278</td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">5</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">539</td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">6</td><td style="text-align: right;;">10</td><td style="text-align: right;;">0</td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">7</td><td style="text-align: right;;">n/a</td><td style="text-align: right;;">327</td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">8</td><td style="text-align: right;;">10</td><td style="text-align: right;;">608</td><td style="text-align: right;;">6,080</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">9</td><td style="text-align: right;;">3</td><td style="text-align: right;;">n/a</td><td style=";"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">10</td><td style="text-align: right;;">8</td><td style="text-align: right;;">276</td><td style="text-align: right;;">2,208</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">11</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">12</td><td style=";">******</td><td style=";">******</td><td style=";">******</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="width:3.6em;font-weight:bold;margin:0;padding:0.2em 0.6em 0.2em 0.5em;border: 1px solid #A6AAB6;border-top:none;text-align: center;background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">Sheet1</p><br /><br /><table width="85%" cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";border: 2px solid black;border-collapse:collapse;padding: 0.4em;background-color: #FFFFFF" ><tr><td style="padding:6px" ><b>Worksheet Formulas</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" width="100%" rules="all" style="border: 1px solid;text-align:center;background-color: #FFFFFF;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120"><th width="10px">Cell</th><th style="text-align:left;padding-left:5px;">Formula</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">U2</th><td style="text-align:left">=IF(<font color="Blue">ISERR(<font color="Red">1/(<font color="Green">S2*T2</font>)</font>),"",S2*T2</font>)</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></table><br />
