is it possible to reverse a list of cells?

i.e. if i have a list of cells a1-a5 for arguements sake, is it possible to put the information in cell a5 into a1, a4 into a2 and a3 would stay the same?

i dont think i can filter this or sort the data as it is random entries.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You can put numbers in an adjescent column...
B1:B5 = 1,2,3,4,5

Then sort Descending by column B

Hope that helps.

Try like this

Code:
Sub atest()
Dim LR As Long, i As Long, j As Long
Dim X
LR = Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
X = Range("A1:A" & LR)
For i = UBound(X, 1) To LBound(X, 1) Step -1
    j = j + 1
    Range("A" & j).Value = X(i, 1)
Next i
End Sub
