Right Click Insert / Format Cells / Delete Options not available

I have spent a long time trying to find a solution to my Excel 2003 problem with no luck. When I highlight a column or row, and right click it the Insert, Format Cells, and Delete options are grayed out. I can right click an individual cell and have these options, or I can go to my toolbar and have these options, but not by right clicking an entire cell or row. The sheet is not protected or shared, and it happens on new documents, old documents, etc. At first the options were also grayed out on my edit bar in the toolbar, but I ran a macro to fix that. So far other macros have not worked. Any suggestions?

there are some references in google search. If you have recently installed an addin called "essbase" this problem may arise. check have you added recently any new add in. uncheck thisa addin in "tools-addin" and try .

Essbase can disable some Excel settings, but they are easily retrieved. Annoyingly you need to switch them on and off depending on whether you are using Essbase or Excel

If Essabse has been installed go to the Essbase menu that will have appeared in your Excel toolbar, and then to Essbase/Options/Global and click/unclick both Enable Secondary Button and Enable Double Clicking.
