Please help, is it possible to convert or round 1 290 000 to 1.3 million.

=ROUNDUP(A1,-5)

?

Assuming your 129000000 is in A1 this should do it


=ROUND(A1/1000000,1)&" million"

Seeing GlennUK's answer I think i misunderstood, I'd assumed you meant you wanted the result as you'd written it but thinking about it you just wanted the number.

Ah, but maybe you are right

We'll see what the original poster says ... they have both solutions now. ( although I think your solution could be achieved by custom number format of #,##0.0,," million" )
