Run Time Error '1004'

I have an Excel program with many macros. When I want to add a new col and copy a formula down by clicking and pressing control+c, I get the message Run Time Error ‘1004’ The sort reference is… How can I over come this and be able to copy formula down?

Have you assigned Ctrl+c to one of your macros?

If so use Ctrl+Insert as the copy shortcut.
