i have a formula that calculates production based on shift. could be 4, 8, or so. so it calculates shift total for the day. i want to store the day total in another cell without overwritting it when the formula update the next time so that i could calcultes the week total. For example the formula calculates 2500 for shift1 and 2000 for shift 2 for a total of 4500 for day 1. i want to move 4500 to another cell without overwitting it when i re-use the same formula to calculate day 2. then i could calculate all 7 day total.
thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Why not just create a table for each day and copy the formula across, then sum all the days to get your 7 day total? e.g. In column A have Monday, B have Tuesday etc

that essentially what i am trying to do. the problem is that i am using the same formula for all the shift. so when that formula updates, it will update all other cells. i want to prevent this so that the last value in the cell for this shift is not changed when we move to another shift or day
