Hi everyone. My question is, is there a way to scan a bar code or QR code from a stock item that will automatically open the related file?

In other words I create a inventory file excel assign a bar code to each item. Later I can scan a item via smartphone, scanning the item will automatically open the items file. any help would be great. thanks. JK

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
It is.
Scan can go into cell A1 (example) then based on Worksheet_Change event based on cell A1 macro will open file (example) "ScannedCode_inv_November2019.txt".
