I am trying to run a update query on a table that has a value (numeric) of 3. I want to update that value to a Negative 3. I tried to build the formula as ~ 3 * -1 but I keep getting 3. Is there a trickk to multiplying a number to get a negative return?

Thanks, Mike Fulkerson

Let's say that our numeric field is named lngField1 and is found in Table1. Then, in the Update Query select this field to update, and in the Update To box, enter:

Code:
[Table1]![lngField1]*-1
