Hi,

I have 2 sheets Sheet1=(1- 500 approx) Sheet2 =(1-500 apx). Both sheets hold numerous security names. Will search for string run through sheet 1 comparing to sheet 2 and return the % likely hood of matches/results at the bottom on sheet 1

Do you want to search for a specific string within sheet1 and sheet2 and count the occurences
in every sheet, and show at the bottom of sheet1

(Count_Sheet1/Count_Sheet2)?

Something I found that worked really well for me was fuzzy vlookup.

Take a look here http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195635 and use the most recent code published. There's a function to find the closest match, as well as one to show a 'percent match' between two strings.
