I am trying to implement a following feature in my excel spreadsheet and need help.

There are 2 fields in my spreadsheet. One says "interest" and the other "age". Apart from these 2 fields, I have a database on the same worksheet. This is how it looks:

Age/Intt 6.125 6.25 6.375 6.5 6.625 6.75

62 0.549 0.535 0.521 0.508 0.495 0.482
63 0.559 0.545 0.531 0.518 0.505 0.492
64 0.568 0.554 0.541 0.528 0.515 0.503
65 0.577 0.564 0.551 0.538 0.525 0.513
66 0.587 0.574 0.561 0.548 0.536 0.524
67 0.597 0.584 0.571 0.559 0.547 0.535
68 0.607 0.594 0.582 0.570 0.558 0.546
69 0.617 0.604 0.592 0.580 0.569 0.557

Now, I want that if in the fields that I spoke about earlier, if they have say, 6.5% in the "Interest" field and 64 in the "Age" field, Excel should automatically look a value matching the specifications and select 0.528 and populate this value in a specific field.

Is it possible to have such a lookup function and what will be the formula? I have been trying a lot to make such a formula but have not met with any success so far.

I will be highly thankful.

Hi Yogi & Kris,

I never knew that this is going to be resolved so very quick, otherwise I would have come to this board last week itself. It took me time because I did not know if I would be able to explain my question or not, neither I thought I would get a resolution urgently.

I just want to thank you all at MrExcel Board for doing it so quick. I tried Yogi's solution and it is working absolutely fine. I got what I wanted.

Kris, thank you to you too for replying.

Now, you guys beware because I will keep visiting this board.

Thank you to all again for your genrosity.

Gurpreet
