Hi all,

Basically i am searching the C column for any cells that contain the word "Eire" . Now Eire could be at any point in the string of characters, Iv'e tried doing a normal serach but it replies with a number i.e 18, as its 18 characters into the string i guess.

Then if the cell has got Eire in i want 2 add column D which is a hh:mm:ss formatted cell.

I tried doing a sumif formula on the serch result using 18 as the criteria but it results in an outcome of #NAME?

Im sorry if this is me being real simple, but anyone got any tips on where im going wrong or wot else i may be able to try to solve my problem?

Regards, Joel

Not sure about that 2... Maybe, with F2 housing Eire:

=SUMIF(C:C,"*"&F2&"*",D:D)

Custom format the formula cell as:

[h]:mm:ss
