Is there a program that I can use to recursively search for cell values within a directory containing multiple excel sheets/files? I use the Windows 7 explorer search function to find files but now I wish to search for data inside the files.
I don't know how easy it is to use (you may need an understanding of Regular Expressions) or whether the cost is too high, but you may want to have a look at PowerGrep: http://www.powergrep.com/
