I have an excel worksheet with a password on my network drive. Is there a way if someone try to use the same file (while I am using the worksheet), to get a message something like "the file is in use" instead of showing a password to open box.
Thanks for any help

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Mhmm, only way I can imagine is to use a "master workbook" to open the other workbook, and then, if it's read only, the workbook should be open, then you could display the message... but, it's not the "best" way i feel...
