Is it possible to Lock only some cells from being selected by user?
I have tried unchecking 'Select Locked Cells' in Protect Sheets, But it disable selecting every cells(including the range I have Selected 'Allow user to edit Ranges').

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Select the cells that you want the user to be able to change and untick Locked. Then protect the sheet.

I really don't think it is possible as I have tried everything. But then why there is an option in excel 'select locked cell'?? I am a confused man!:eeek::eeek::eeek:

Select the cells you want users to be able to use and then make sure they are not locked before you protect the sheet. It's in the format of the cells under the protection tab (Excel 2003).
Once you've cleared the tickbox, you can then protect the sheet as normal.

Thanks for the Reply!

Well I am using Excel 2007. I did what you said but still no results.
when I untick 'select locked cell' it just disallow the user to select any cell. And user can only type in the first cell of the selected range.

You need to leave that unticked as that is what you want. It sounds like you haven't unlocked the relevant cells before applying the sheet protection.

I have added those relevant ranges to 'Allow users to Edit Ranges'. I guess this represents unlocked cells.

No. If I remember correctly (I have 2010 at home and 2003 at work) you still need to specifically untick the "Locked" tickbox under the cell format menu.
