Hello

I've created a theme (with .thmx Office theme file extension) called MyTheme. I want to make this theme as the default theme, how do I do that?

At the moment, when I create a new file (blank workbook), it uses the Built-in Office theme as default. How do I make my custom theme (MyTheme) as default?

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Apply it to a blank workbook and save that as book.xltx in your XLSTART directory. Note that this will only be applied if you use Ctrl+N or the New workbook button. Using File-New-blank workbook will ignore any customisations you make to a template file (unless you choose that template in the New dialog)

So is there anyway to change the result of
File>New>Blank workbook>Create
so that you get the default template you created?

Not that I know of - though I haven't checked to see if the CustomUI would allow it. Personally I prefer to leave one way of creating a 'vanilla' workbook.
