Setting-up a Dynamic End Parameter

Is there a way to setup a dynamic end parameter?

Example: Using today's date (8/15/2011), then creating a search between a header row of months for this year (i.e., Jan-11, Feb-11, ... Dec-11) starting always at Jan-11.

[Jan-11's column]:[Today's Month's Column] = $A$1:[???]

I essentially want to create a search for Y and N's between the beginning of the year to the current date. If there is an N or blank, set up a flag for that row.

In this case, I would use a lookup for Jimmy and search the same row between Jan-11 and Aug-11. Since Mar-11 is blank, the end result would show up as "Missing" or something along those lines, else "Success!".

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
The following formula is able to narrow down to the ending cell (Aug-11's cell):

=INDEX(Status!F3:AO91,MATCH(Summary!D13,Status!B:B,0),MATCH(Summary!B3,Status!F2:AO2,0))

Anyway to make this an end-parameter for a search or take the cell letter and number? (i.e., B2, C564, etc.)
