I have data that has multiple values in one cell alt enter or spaces make it line up. Will this work for power BI or do I need it to be flat like in a database. ?

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Can you give us an example so we can give you a solid answer please?

You can replace most non printing characters with something like a comma or a pipe. From there you can split to columns or rows.

I’ll try

Row1 Lease. Company owns. Other Name
A12345. 25%. Owner B. 10%
Owner C. 5% Owner D 60%
sum. 100%

Row2. B12389. 90%. Owner D. 5%
Owner E. 5%
Sum. 100%
Etc

Basically it is in a report form and not data form. Has multi data cells, one cell contain multiple pieces of info.

Hope this helps
