So this may be hard to explain but here goes:

I am a restaurant manager and have put together a workbook that automatically does the tip outs for each server at the end of the night (all I have to do is enter the sales and what their charge tips were, the forumlas to figure out what they tip out are all set), I have 5 different worksheets for this (AM, PM, AM Patio, PM Patio, Spoon). Because some people work both AM and PM shifts in different parts of the restaurant, I am trying to make a 6th worksheet that will tally all of each persons tips (the servers/bartenders, and the support staff being tipped out) for the entire day. The 6th worksheet will list the entire staff (whether they worked or not that day). So basically if "Lisa" worked an AM shift, and a PM Patio Shift, the 6th sheet would take her totals from each shift and add them together and put it next to her name.

I am pretty sure this would require some pretty extensive formula work, and lots and lots of IF statements. But I guess what I'm wondering is, is it even possible??? Any help, comments or anything would be amazing. If you need more info to try and help, let me know! Thanks so much everyone.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Rather than placing each shift on a different tab, consider using one tab with a different column for each shift. This would then allow you to have a "Total" column and would probably simplify things. Something like:

SERVER AM PM AM PATIO PM PATIO SPOON TOTAL TIP OUT
