is there a shortcut to highlight duplicates?

In column A I have a list of ID's and I want to only look at the duplicates.

I know if I do ctrl+G I can select cells that are using a formula or select visable cells. I am looking for something like that.

Thank you

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
in B2 insert the formula

=countif(A:A,A2)

then copy down your records (assumes you have headers in row 1)

Then filter for values above 1 in column B, as this will be your duplicates.

That does work

I was not clear enough. The repeated number may show up 2-6x's. If I used your formula, I would have to filter on 2-6.

I was hoping to find/select the cells and then highlight.

Thanks

I was hoping for a shortcut, but I guess the Conditional Format - Duplicate Value would also work.

Thanks

When filtering, choose custom and set for values greater than 1
