Hello,

I read this tip on MrExcel where it shows you how to group the dates by month, which worked fine. But the only problem I'm still having is it sorts the months to a calendar year. I need it to stay in the order of our fiscal year which runs from November to October.

Here is the link for the tip I read.

Does anybody know a way to keep it from sorting to a calendar year??

Thank you,

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
2 possibilities:

1) in the source data, add an extra column to flag which month of the fiscal year each record is & use that

2) set up a custom list to drive the sort (see excel help file 'Create a custom fill series or sorting order', though the fact that you're using months might prove problematic - they're probably reserved
