Show Plus Sign for positive numbers

I currently have percentages that I am interested in showing a + sign in front of the positive numbers.

How do you do this? I tried a quick search and couldn't get anything to work.

The numbers are currently formatted as Percentage (1 decimal place).

+0.0%,-0.0%;0.0%

I tried that and it didn't work--when I type in 7.8 it returns:

+780.0%,-0.0%

Type in 7.8% or .078

7.8 is 780%

I guess I could add that the cell I want to show a +/- is the difference between two percentages.

I might have misunderstood you:

Was I suppose to put +0.0%,-0.0%;0.0% as the custom format?

.78 returns:

780%, -7.8%

Why is it returning two numbers?

where x and y are your percentages. It's sloppy, but it should work.

Concatenation was my fall back option. I knew there had to be a simple way to do it instead though.
