Hi all,

I want to format some cells such that if you enter:
1 it shows 1
0.1 it shows 0.1
0.01 it shows 0.01
0.001 it shows 1E-3
0.0001 it shows 1E-4

and so on

Is there a way of doing this on excel? I had a look at conditional formatting but change the number style did not seem to be an option.

I am using Excel 2000.

Any help would much appreciated,
Rob
