Size of the Access Database imported from Excel Sheet in 2007

Hi,

I have imported an excel (.xlsx) database in MS access, but the size of the excel file was 837kb but the size of the database in MS access generated for the size of 2856kb.

As i have to deal with around 2.8Mn cells of excel, in this way the size of Database in excel will become huge.

Request to assist in this.
