Slicers connected to multiple pivot tables

I tried connecting the same splicer(s) to multiple pivot tables using the same source data. After I added a new pivot table and having the new pivot table selected, I went to the Slicer icon dropdown and was going to select "Slicer connections", but it is grayed out.

Is there a step that I missed?

Thanks

Steven

Maybe the forest is blocking the trees but only the drop down box appears, there is no visable tab

Do you already have a slicer set up in the workbook?

Curious. What if you select the Slicer and choose PivotTable connections on the SlicerTools-Options tab?
