Slicers

Hi,

I'm new to slicers and would like to add a slicer to a sheet as part of creating a Dashboard. Is it possible to have 1 date slicer that would filter the start date from 1 column as well as the Completion date from another column?

eg

Person A started on 01/01/23 and finished on 31/08/23.
Person B started on 02/02/23 and has yet to finish (blank date in cell).
Person C started on 06/06/23 and has yet to finish (blank date in cell).

I have the charts produced but would like to add a slicer to show the charts for a selected month.

eg when selecting Jan, it would only show A, as the others haven't started yet.
for March would show A & B,
for August would show A, B & C.
For Sept it would only show B & C, as A has finished.

Any direction would help. Links would be great.

I think I understand what you want, and yes, if your pivot table has separate columns for start date and completion date, 365 should give you both options using "Insert Timeline" if the start date and completion dates are in the filter section of the pivot table fields. If you prefer, you can also use "Insert Slicer" to select the columns, depending on how you want the options to look to your users.
