Slow inserting XML into excel over time

Hi, my program which has inserted a lot of XML files slows right down. It now takes 60-70 seconds to download a XML table into a sheet.
When I start a new file, it only takes 3-4 seconds.

Why does my original file take so long to insert XML data into it, and how can I change it so that its quicker? Thanks in advance

It's impossible to say without seeing your code, and how large (rows/columns) the files are, how much data is in the rows, and whether you insert them in new sheets or add to the bottom of one sheet
