Slow pivot table- update faster

I have a pivot table with 47 fields to choose from. I'm adding these to the row section of the PT. Each time I add a field it is taking forever (calculating...).
The source data is on a separate worksheet and is values-only, which I thought might help but apparently not.

The source data contains about 11,000 total cells of data.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
That's not a particularly big dataset so I am surprised it is taking so long. If you remove the data fields and then add the row fields (before finally adding the data fields again) does it speed up? You could alternatively use code to add the fields which could be quicker as you can prevent the pivot table from updating after the addition of each field.

Thank you for the suggestions. I copied the pivot table sheet to a new workbook and saved as .xlsx. The original file is in .xlsb format. I wonder if that made the difference? It's much faster now.
