I've been given the task of getting up to speed on Excel's Solver tool - in order to do a lot of financial projections, etc. But I have ZERO knowledge of Solver, what it does/how it works, and am having a very difficult time finding an "introduction" to this feature anywhere on the web (or even on mrexcel.com!). None of my previous Excel books even list Solver (ack!) - so I've ordered a new one. But until that arrives, does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find the basics for this tool? (even the microsoft.com website has exceedingly minimal info - been there, learning nothing useful.) Appreciate any assistance with this!
