I have a large data set (1995-2011) and I need to sort each year by quarter and group the quarters together for trending. Anybody have any ideas on some code? THX-SG

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
You could use a formula in another column to extract the quarter, e.g.,

=int((month(a2)-1)/3) + 1
