Sorting in Pivot Table

Dear All,

I am uisng Excel 2007.
I have 30 columns & 165600 rows. I made Pivot table for data analysis.

For this I took Sr. No. as in Report Filter & other in Column Lables, Row lables & values.

Now my question is that the Sr. No. (which is alphanumeric) in Report Filter are not coming in Sorting - means they are not in Ascending or Decending order.

Can anybody help me on this.

However I have put Sr. No. in Report filter which isn't show all the Sr. no. When we pick the particular Sr. no. - It shows all the information of that Sr. No.

Hi, this is a frustrating feature of the Report Filter area. To sort the list, you need to:

drag the field into the Row (or Column) area:
go to More Sort options for the field
choose the sort you want
in More options..., make sure the "Sort automatically every time the report is updated" checkbox is checked
drag the field back to the Report Filter area
