I have values in one column with different lengths like:-
Column A
37405-0451652-7
217-52-623587
37405-0451653-9
211-48-523689
.
.
.
Now i want to separate these values in two different columns according to their length. Like:-
Column A Column B
37405-0451652-7 217-52-623587

Please help...

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
If it's a one off, what I'd be tempted to do is in column B, put the formula

=LEN(A1)

assuming your data starts in row 1. Obviously you'll need to change the reference appropriately if it doesn't.

Then you can sort your data based on this column, thus making it easier to separate out.
