I need some help with regards to sorting out some data.

Usually what i do is to copy and paste the data according to the different company into the separate worksheets which is a very tedious process.

I need to get the data sorted according to the different companies and they have to be in the seperate worksheets arranged according to the date/invoice number.

Just wondering if there is any shortcut to it.

this is the link to the file

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi mate

I am not great when using excel but I think if you take a look at pivot tables, I use a pivot table to do something similar to what you are trying to do. YouTube pivot tables and there are some great tutorials that I think will answer your question.

hi Tigs81,

As the 1st sheet is the consolidated data for the different sales to different companies on the month, would need to get the data sorted into the different companies for other uses such as billing the company the total purchases of the month.

cheers

You could probably use the autofilter option instead.

So you only show company abc.

You can use the subtotal formula to get the total purchases for the month on the filtered data.

Thanks
