Source of Hyperlinking

I have created an assortment of spreadsheets and placed them in a folder. This is my "base" with each spreadsheet given a unique name that lists components that make up that unique name. Next I will be creating a higher level list in another spreadsheet with hyperlinks to the "base" spreadsheets. There will be many of these higher level list spreadsheets. Some "base" spreadsheets may be hyper linked to from multiple higher level list spreadsheets. What I would like to do is open a "base" spreadsheet directly and then see which higher level spreadsheets have hyperlinks to that "base" spreadsheet. Anyone know a way to do this, and do it automatically? As I populate my higher level lists, I want the "base" spreadsheets to keep up with which higher level lists are hyper linked to them.
