spaces and capitals

Hi i have two problems
1. can i take the spaces out of of the front and rear of the cell and not in the middle.. ie: _my_name_is_matt_ ....
_ = space

and the second is can i put a capital at the beginning of each cell and change all the other letters to lower case ie:
cell 1 Matt
cell 2 matt2
cell 3 maTT3
