special number format

Hi Excel Masters,

I tried to find it on net but was a bit out of luck. How can I customize the format of the number as below requirements:
1. If the number is greater or equal to appears with "k": 4,123,567 should be 4,124k
2. If the number is below 0; the number turns to red with no bracelet; -4,123,567 should be 4,124k (this should be RED only no - or bracelet)</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN>
3. As you notice in second requirement, I require “1,000” separator for figures below 0 too.</SPAN></SPAN>
4. No decimal places all rounded up.</SPAN></SPAN>

Below was my custom format but did not work out below 0 figures:</SPAN></SPAN>

[>=1000] #,##0,"k";[<1000] #,##0;[Red]General</SPAN></SPAN>

Any help?

I think you need the zeroes in place of each rightmost # sign in case the number are between -1000 and +1000...

#,##0,"k";[Red]#,##0,"k"
