I have data I need to separate out. It has the customer name, address and postcode all in one cell
E.G. in A2 I have mongrel dogs123 First Street5100
I need it to be (A2) mongrel dogs (B2)123 Frist Street (B3)5100

The issue is the text lengths are all different so using text to columns or spaces doesn’t work as some have it and some don’t

I am wondering if there is a formula that I could use that will find the street number after the customer name and split that out and so on with the postcode?

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
How can computer (nothing but a high speed idiot) recognise the name, address and perhaps pin code.. Are names two words or it can be one two or more words. can the last pin code be only one word. are there constant number of words in address.

Silvermini63,

What version of Excel are you using?

You will generally get much more help (and faster) in this forum if you can post your small samples (what you have and what you expect to achieve) directly in the forum.

To attach screenshots, see below in my Signature block: Post a screen shot with one of these:

However, the date; day; and time are all in one cell... and all i need is just the time. below is the screen shot of the excel:
