When we build an SQL query that returns data to a specific sheet in a workbook, if we select "Refresh" is should only refresh that specific sheet even if we have other SQL queries built in other sheets inside the workbook?

I assume each query that is build for a specific sheet has a specific "connection" and "code" that was programmed, so when you select "Refresh" instead of "Refresh All" it will not affect other sheets?

I also assume that if I choose to refresh all the SQLs that are in each sheet I can do so by selecting "Refresh All".

"External Data Range Properties" will allow you to make changes to some of the behavior you mentioned.

You can also set individual queries to refresh when the workbook is opened or at specified time intervals. Of course you can also force a refresh of any or all queries via VBA using almost any criteria imaginable.
