I have two sets of data for years 2010 and 2011 that I would like to compare.
So lets say I have
5 cats and 4 dogs in Oct 2010 and 9 cats and 3 dogs in Oct 2011 (the rest of the data will have different numbers of cats and dogs for every month)
The stacked bars I want to see are: dogs/cats oct 2010 in one stacked column nexts to dogs/cats oct 2011 in the next stacked column. The next grouping would be dogs/cats nov2010 next to dogs/cats nov2011 and so on. When I try to do it I get all four oct figures in one stacked column.
How do I present the data so the chart wizard can separate this out correctly? Thanks!
right now I have
2010 2010 2011 2011
cat dog cat dog
OCT 5 4 9 3
NOV 6 8 1 2
DEC 5 2 7 5
