Start at bottom of Array

I will have a column of values (to keep it simple, let's say A1:A10). The values in this range can repeat themselves. Is there a way to count from the bottom of the range when a specific value occurs to determine it's position? I can easily count from the top, but have yet to figure out a way to start at the bottom and go up. Any thoughts?
