Hi everyone,
I'm really having trouble applying statistics to some of my data. I'm not sure whether Excel has the capability of providing the answer.
I am trying to compare two different biological samples (patients) to 4 controls.
I have triplicate values for each control, and for each of the patients.
I want to know whether the patients are "significantly" different from controls (and I don't expect the patients to be the same as each other).
So far I have only been able to do a one-way ANOVA to compare every sample to every other sample. This tells me that the patients are different from the controls but it also tells me that some controls are significantly different from others...yet I want them to demonstrate the range of normal.
It's hard to explain but I would really appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks!
El
