Using Excel 2010.
I have a workbook with a ton of data in there (file size 21mb). It has a pivot table with the following in the options:
Date: Save Source data with file - UNCHECKED
Enable Show Details: CHECKED
Refresh data when opening file: CHECKED
Since the raw data is in another tab of the same workbook, there are no issues there.
However, when I copy the pivot table to a new workbook (that uses =GETPIVOT formulas in a summary tab, and the pivot in a data tab), It works initially, but if I filter the table in the summary tab, it loses the information. When looking at the data tab (where I pasted the pivot table), it just looks like text without any formatting and the functionality of the pivot is gone (there is no pivot table, just data).
I hope i'm explaining myself ok. I cannot save the source data in the pivot and copy that over, it will make the summary file far too big.
Any ideas how to resolve?
Thank you in advance.
