Hi,

I have quite a large Excel file that I use for work, it is roughly 14 workbooks/worksheets (not sure of the propper name).

Recently its been doing strange things, apparently randomly.

For example, if I enter some information in sheet 4, it will enter the same information into blank cells in sheet 1.

This will happen randomly from time to time and also the other day I deleted some rows from sheet 8 and it removed them from sheet 1 also?

I have updated all norton software but am starting to think this may be a virus?

I am taking my latop to PCworld today to see if they can do a full hardware check on it to make sure all is ok (I have had other issues with my machine in general, blue screens etc etc).

What are your thougths on this?

Thanks

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Hi. Could you have grouped the sheets (click on one tab then CTRL + click on another). If sheets are grouped, an action in one sheet will occur in the other grouped sheets.

Please confirm these two sheets are not slected... Check the name of the file (if two or more sheets are slected at once) the name will be shown as XYZ [Group]

This is one of the possible reason of writing or working the same thing in two sheets.

Best of Luck!

BTW - Press Ctrl+Page up and then Ctrl+Page down to deselect these sheets...

Holy moly im such a dumb $%&£ lol!.

The report has 2 front sheets then the current week, so for the customer I print maybe only 3 or 4 of the sheets, and I do this by selecting them with ctrll and click.

This explains the randomness of the changes!!!!!!

At least I know its definately not a virus ha ha!

its just me :-)

Thanks!!!!
