HI everyone

I have a nice long text string and want to find out whether the string "4x4" or "4WD" is contained within it. Basically im searching a string to find out if one of 2 substings exist anwhere within it.

Can anyone help?

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
If A1 holds the string, in another cell:

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH({"4x4","4WD"},A1)))

EDIT: A result > 0 means that there is a match.
