I have been using control>shift>arrow either down or right then hiding the unwanted columns and rows, problem is when I try to unhide them it won't let me. Any solutions would be gratefully recieved.

If you click on the box immediately in the upper left corner of your spreadsheet, the one that highlights the entire spreadsheet, then use your mouse and move your cursor until it changes from a box that looks like a cross (the select cursor) to the one that looks like a thin vertical line bordered by a right arrow and a left arrow (the resizing cursor), you can use this to drag right, left, up or down, whichever you need and it will redisplay the hidden rows or hidden columns.

Give it a try.

Here's a website that describes Excel Cursors and some of their functions.
