Stuck with what is simple adding up

Hi there
Hope someone can help. I have rainfall data which has been captured in 15 minute intervals. I would like to calculate daily amounts over 6 years. (alot of cells to do via =sum(....)

My data looks like the below with time & date in one cell and rainfall in 2nd cell.

01/01/2000 00:15 02
01/01/2000 00:30 02

somedays there is no rain as such the cell is blank.

Hi

Try creating another column which gives date value only (without the time):

=VALUE(DAY(A10)&"/"&MONTH(A10)&"/"&YEAR(A10))

Format cell as dd/mm/yyyy

Then pivot your data
