I'd like to add/subtract some length of time from a particular time and produce a value as time.

For example:
10:00 PM - 2hours = 8:00 PM
or
10:00 PM + 3 hours = 1:00 AM

is there an easy way to do this?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Divide the number to be subtracted by 24. e.g.

=A1 - 2/24

will return 8PM if A1 houses 10PM. Make sure the result cell is formatted as time.

P.S. If they are both times just use e.g.

=A1-B1 where A1 and B1 both hold times.
